for remedial instruction. We can see that it would address the needs of children of
all learning styles. This method works so well with older children who have struggled thus
far (through grade 6), that it should be used to prevent remedial problems by teaching it to
all children age 5 and up. Its spiral-bound ‘reader’ contains activities
like BINGO, and its stories are specially coded to help the beginning reader learn to
correctly pronounce words. Rather than teach English by rules, little cues are placed
